Contemporary Dance technique classes encourage us to challenge and develop our strength, flexibility, alignment and stamina through a series of structured dance exercises.
The Beginner courses will introduce the main principles of contemporary dance including posture, alignment and use of weight, through warm-up exercises, sequences, and short free movement exploration.
The Intermediate courses will allow students to challenge their physicality further. Sessions will include longer, release-based phrases of movement that find their way into and out of the floor. Playing with weight, suspension, release and strength, dancers will focus on finding fluidity and efficiency within the material.
