Kate Szkolar

Kate began her dance career as a member of Brighton and Hove Youth Dance Company. She later completed a BA Hons at London Contemporary Dance School and took part in a dance exchange progam with the University of Hawaii. During her final year, Kate toured with the graduating company ‘LC3’, in which she performed her own choreography as well as existing repertoire. During this time, Kate was also a member of ‘Hybrid’; a company dedicated to performing arts in a commercial setting. She is currently a member of Puppik Dance Company. Kate has subsequently performed at a number of festivals, including Glastonbury and Run to the Sun.  Kate teaches Contemporary (and Street) dance, drawing on both the Release and Cunningham technique. Her choreography explores the challenge of both athleticism and delicacy through space.
