Hula hoops are back and not like you remember them! Today's hula hoops are designed for adults - larger and heavier - and can give you a full body workout, a new way to dance and a chance for you to rediscover your inner child.
HulaFit - did you know that hulahooping burns up to 100 calories in ten minutes? In this brand new hula hoop fitness class with Jo Mondy, you'll have fun while you build cardio fitness, tone your arms, abs and legs and increase your flexibility.
The class starts with an upbeat warm-up and then goes straight into aeorobic exercises using the hoop as added resistance. You'll spin the hoop on different parts of your body and get your heart rate up as we move around in simple and easy-to-follow steps. You'll learn tricks that will get your muscles working plus play some energising games to build up a sweat! The class will finish with some HoopYoga, using the hoop as a tool to stretch out your muscles and increase your flexibility.
The focus on fitness, strength and flexibility rather than tricks means this class is for everyone from complete beginners to advanced hula hoopers!
Hoops are available to use in each class. Please wear comfortable exercise clothes and bring a bottle of water.

Courses and workshops can be booked online – just click the button where shown. Drop-in classes cannot be booked online – just pay at the start of the class – no pre-booking required. Concession rates (conc.) must be booked in person at the centre with proof of concession status.
