Are you comfortable in your own skin? How much space do you need? Do you know your own limits? What do you choose to reveal about yourself? How do others affect and move you?
Through movement we can explore our sense of personal space, our boundaries and our connection to others. Dance is used to dialogue between our private and public worlds, expressing that which cannot be verbalized. Emily’s background in contemporary dance and using dance as a form of therapy provides a unique framework for working with improvisational dance as a self-development tool. The student is facilitated to explore bodily sensation, dynamics and spatial awareness in order to investigate new ways of connecting to themselves and others. Open to anyone curious about the potential of movement for self-discovery.
