The way our bodies move is part of our living experience but it is so easy to become limited, habitual and conventional in our movement. Much sickness originates from poor posture, physical restraint and shallow or restricted breathing. Seiki is a simple way of addressing these issues and involves a number of practices that develop inner awareness, sensitivity and release.
The name comes from ‘sei’ meaning harmony and space, and ‘ki’ meaning movement and breath. No previous experience is necessary. These sessions will include: Gyoki, a simple movement meditation; Katsugan, spontaneous movement encouraging the body to express physical and mental release; and Seiki Soho, working with others through touch and observation.
Note: This workshop will take place at the Ki Centre in Queen's Square.
