Classic Yoga has roots in Iyengar and Hatha Yoga. It emphasises the link between mind, body and breath. These classes are taught by Louise Beglin, an experienced teacher who comes from an Iyengar background.

Louise has developed Classic Yoga through her own understanding and practice of the classical postures. The practice of Classic Yoga links mind, body and breath. It helps, on a physical level, to improve strength, flexibility and energy. It stimulates heart-lung function, and the digestive, nervous and endocrine systems.

Additional benefits include a deeper sense of awareness, better concentration, increased self-confidence and well-being and a calm and relaxed mind. It can also improve the general quality of life and the ability to live in the moment.

Classic Yoga (like all yoga classes) is not competitive and each student is encouraged to work towards his/her full potential. Demonstration, individual monitoring and advice are key features of Classic Yoga.

Please note: The Tuesday evening Classic Yoga course now runs as a drop-in class, 6.30-8pm every Tuesday.
