THEME: Teaching Yoga 1-2-1 with Kate Ellis

Teaching yoga one-to-one is a completely different experience to teaching a class. In order to realise the full potential of working one-to-one, it is necessary to cultivate a level of awareness, which extends both to our clients and ourselves in physical, mental and emotional relationship. In this way, a profound and lasting transformation becomes possible.

Kate Ellis has been teaching yoga 1-2-1 for nearly twenty years and has developed the first ever in-depth training specialising in what she believes is a modality in its own right. Her work encompasses both the exploration of embodiment and relationship and the inherent therapeutic value of working with both bodies and people in an intimate setting. As a practicing body psychotherapist and yoga teacher trainer of over ten years, Kate’s approach continuously investigates the connection between structure, movement and psyche. She feels passionately about empowering yoga teachers to look beyond posture or choreography and is actively creating a network of teachers who undertake supervision.

Please join Kate for an afternoon of discussion and an experiential workshop.
