SHAW METHOD SWIMMING
The Shaw Method of swimming is loosely based on principles of the Alexander Technique, applied to swimming. It is suitable for siwmmers and non-swimmer, from the fearful to the confident. Those suffering back, neck and joint pain will often experience benefit working in the medium of water in this gentle way It works on the fundamentals of breathing, buoyancy and aligning your body in the water to swim with ease and without strain. The strokes are broken down into small movements and then slwoly put back together, increasing efficiency and propulsion through the water.
