Contemporary Dance technique classes encourage us to challenge and develop our strength, flexibility, alignment and stamina through a series of structured dance exercises.
The Beginners course will introduce the main principles of contemporary dance including posture, alignment and use of weight, through warm-up exercises, sequences, and short free movement exploration.
The Intermediate course will allow students to challenge their physicality further. Sessions will include floor work, partnering/contact work and improvisation.
Here at BNHC the main style of teaching is Cunningham and release-based.
Courses and workshops can be booked online – just click the button where shown. Drop-in classes cannot be booked online – just pay at the start of the class – no pre-booking required. Concession rates (conc.) must be booked in person at the centre with proof of concession status.
