Pilates balances strength and flexibility through slow, controlled movements. It improves breathing, body alignment, dynamic balance and muscle tone, particularly in the abdominal area.
Pilates can be helpful for sufferers of chronic back pain, osteoporosis, stress-related problems, osteoarthritis and scoliosis. It helps rehabilitation following sports injuries and is suitable for all ages and fitness levels.
NB There are no classes on Mon 23 August or Bank Holiday Monday 30 August. On 13 September there will be a Basics for Beginners session. If you miss this, one to ones can be arranged
