Progressing from developing an understanding of the basic structural anatomical features of the knee and hip joints we shall explore their functional physiological relations within a ‘kinematic chain’, providing insights into their influence throughout the whole body.

This knowledge base can give helpful insights both into how we can intelligently progress our practice as well as how to avoid potential injuries to which both joints are susceptible including knee meniscal and acetabular labral tears, ligament sprains, tendonitis, bursitis and osteoarthritis.

Having a degree in osteopathy Chris has been teaching anatomy for over 20 years and has followed an interest in yoga since the early 1970s. He teaches anatomy for Yoga Teacher Trainees at TriYoga London.
