Headstand Workshop | Yoga & Mindfulness, Sat 19 Oct

Join Lucy for a mindful afternoon of yoga building confidence and learning conditioning exercises to help you begin to practise or improve your headstand (or even scorpion pose) safely.

Sirshasana, the headstand, is considered by many to be the greatest of all asanas.

But in a busy weekly class it is often omitted. During this afternoon workshop we will start with conditioning exercises and look at ways to regain balance in order to prepare us for this 'king' of postures. We will work mindfully, building up our confidence and reducing the element of fear often associated with this asana. For those who are already comfortable in the posture we will also be covering variations, including vrischikasana, scorpion pose.

As well as asana practice this workshop will include prananyama breathing techniques, mindfulness meditation and deep relaxation.

Date: Saturday 19 October

Time: 2-5pm

Cost: £30/£27 advance (advance book by Fri 4 Oct) | Suitable for continuer to advanced level students.
