Yoga shows promise for post-traumatic stress disorder

In ongoing research to identify the most effective help for post-traumatic stress disorder(PTSD) in US military personnel, a study published in the May/June issue of The American Journal of Occupational Therapy compared 'sensory-enhanced' hatha yoga with no treatment in 70 military personnel who had been deployed in Iraq. The full study is available via the link below, but in a nutshell it reports that the yoga was significantly more effective than the control in 16 out of 18 mental health and quality-of-life factors.
