Yoga for fibromyalgia

Oregon Health and Science University has demonstrated that yoga practice can achieve significant improvements in fibromyalgia. One randomly selected group of patients were assigned to receive standard medication. The other group participated in an eight-week yoga programme (gentle asanas, meditation, breathing exercises and group discussion). Compared to controls, the yoga group showed clinically significant imporvements in pain, fatigue, stiffness, sleep, depression, memory, andxiety and balance. http://www.ohsu.edu/xd/about/news_events/news/2010/2010-10-14-ohsu-research-sugge.cfm?WT_rank=1
