Prenatal yoga helps depression

This study found that yoga significantly reduced depression in pregnant women . Depression during pregnancy is challenging to treat since many women are justifiably cautious about taking medication. Safe interventions are therefore especially welcome. This was a 10-week study which enrolled 34 depressed pregnant women and taught them yoga. After 10 weeks the women's subjecvtive and objective scores of depression had decreased significantly. The study authors also produced an accompanying yoga instructors' manual.
